Came across SantaBarbaraYP

Hi everyone! I recently came across SantaBarbaraYP, a sort of local search engine for all the businesses and services in Santa Barbara County. I've lived here for quite some time, but for some reason I never paid attention to this resource. Has anyone used this site to find any local services? For example, I recently searched for a place to get my shoes repaired and found several options. My question is, how up-to-date is the information on the site? Does it really cover the entire spectrum of businesses in Santa Barbara, or is it, like other sites, just a small selection? It's important to me that all local shops and stores are represented, not just those who have paid for advertising.

Oh, I actually use SantaBarbaraYP a lot as a Local Business Directory, and I can say that it is a very useful tool for me. In general, this site has become a kind of directory for locals, since it is not limited to restaurants or shops, but covers a much wider range - from medical institutions and hairdressers to the most specific businesses, such as a solar panel installation company or repair shops. That is, if you are looking for something really specific, you will most likely find it, but with the caveat that not all businesses actively update information. When I first visited the site, I immediately noticed that the interface is quite simple and clear. The search is quite accurate, and you can select a category, for example, "car service" or "laundries", and then immediately filter by area or ratings. I even looked for a local clinic, and one of the lists had a pointer to a medical center with reviews. In such cases, it is very convenient, because other people's reviews help you understand whether it is worth going there. Of course, as with any resource, if a business doesn't update its information, you may end up with outdated data - for example, the phone number may be incorrect, or the opening hours may be different than stated.

I also use SantaBarbaraYP from time to time. In fact, it is a really useful resource for finding local services. It is especially convenient that you can sort businesses by area - it helps you quickly find something closer to home. For example, I searched for local cafes and barbershops this way, and found good reviews of several places that I had not heard of before. Yes, sometimes the information can be outdated, but overall the resource copes with its task perfectly, and in the absence of another convenient site for searching, it is quite useful.
